What Broke, Still Glowing

Original Abstract Oil Painting, Navy Gold Ivory 80.3 x 80.3cm (31.6" x 31.6")

My heart broke, even though I knew it was right.
Those two things lived in me at the same time, and neither one canceled the other out.

One glance back, the road already pulling me on.

Everything felt shattered. And still, something in it kept glowing.

Inspired by "Mirror" by Madison Ryann Ward, a song about love, and about the ache of letting go of what won't be.
